Seminar of the Council of the European Union Working Group on Export Credits

On 21 and 22 May 2009, City of Prague was a host for members of the Council of the European Union Working Group on Export Credits. The seminar with a theme "Current impact of the financial crisis and its influence on export financing" was a part of the meeting of representatives of institutions engaged in official support of export credits in member states of the Union, heads of departments of the European Commission and representatives of Czech ministries and of entrepreneurial sphere.

The roles of main speakers were taken by Mr. Vladimír Dlouhý from the company Goldman Sachs Europe Ltd., H. E. Prof. Karel Dyba, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic at the OECD and Mr. Josef Hušek, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the INEKON GROUP.

Analysis of the impact of the financial crisis on international trade, macro economic aspects of current development of East - West relations, globalisation trends and their influence on the official export credit support, OECD measures aimed at mitigation of impacts of the global financial crisis and the opinion of a significant exporter on the present crisis make a brief summary of contributions of the main speakers; you can make yourself acquainted with their presentations.
