State Support of Export

Export support is a part of the general economic policy of the state. The state is assisting in acceleration and multiplication of positive effects achieved by Czech firms on foreign markets by the system of the pro-export policy.

The state support of export in the form of insurance of export credit risks consists of guarantee of the state for obligations of EGAP from insurance which has been defined in § 8 of the Act No. 58/1995 Coll., on Insurance and Financing of Export with State Support. The state support means in practice that EGAP with its insurance covers a market niche for which private credit insurance companies have insufficient capacity. One of basic preconditions for provision of insurance with state support is compliance with rules for origin of goods.

Intention of the state are summarized in the "Export Strategy of the Czech Republic for the period 2006 - 2010   (760 kB) ", prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and approved by the Government in November 2005.
